There are many reasons to remove a stump from your yard or your land.  Stumps can rot and decay and can house insects, termites, other parasites and small animals.  In addition fungi and disease can often get into your stumps, which can potentially threaten other trees on your property.   Stumps can also be dangerous for kids who are playing in your yard.  And finally, once a stump is successfully removed, property owners often feel it opens up their yard and the yard actually feels larger.

​stump grinding? 

Usually there are multiple ways to get a stump removed from your yard.  The most inexpensive way to get rid of a stump, but it usually takes much longer, is to simply let the stump decay and decompose over time.  This process can take many years for the stump to be removed completely. 

Another option is for us to remove or dig the stump out of your yard.  When the stump is dug out, this will result in a large hole in your yard where the stump was located, which will need to be filled in.  The other option is stump grinding, which does not create a hole.  And additionally, the grindings from the stump can then be used for landscaping mulch.​
